How to delete it in the app

1. Open the Oxytane app and make sure you are signed in.
2. Go to the Profile tab.
3. Tap the card at the top of the screen — the one showing the number or address you signed in with. That opens Account.
4. Tap Delete account.
5. Read what the confirmation says you are giving up, then tap Delete permanently.

The screen tells you the account is deleted only once our server has confirmed it is gone. You are signed out at the same moment.

What the confirmation shows you

A litres-back balance is worth money in Oxytane, so the confirmation states the amount before it offers the button rather than asking whether you are sure. It lists:

How many are kept on file

Your number

Removed

Name and email

Removed

Sign-in

Removed

This cannot be undone.

What is deleted

Your profile, the phone number your account was opened with, your name, your email address, and the Apple or Google connection you signed in with. Signing in again with the same Apple ID or Google account afterwards opens a new account holding none of this.

Any litres-back balance goes with it. Litres back are not money and are not refundable, so a balance is lost on deletion.

What is kept, and why

Orders and payment records stay, with your name, number and email taken off them. A business has to be able to account for money it has taken, and that is the only reason they are kept. They are held for as long as the law requires a business to keep its accounts.

When deletion is refused

Deletion is refused, with the reason on screen, in two cases. Neither is permanent.

An order is waiting

One or more orders are paid for and waiting at a counter. Collect them first, then delete.

A payment is pending

A payment is still being confirmed. Try again shortly.

The refusal exists because the bottle is bought and not yet handed over, and the counter checks you against a phone number that deletion removes. The account can be deleted the day those orders are collected.

The Delete account row is also out of service while the app has not yet been able to read your balance — it reads “Checking” or “Unavailable” rather than offering to delete an account whose worth we cannot state.

If you cannot reach the app

Write to info@oxytane.ng from the email address on your account, or from the number on it, and we will close it. The same rules above apply.
